Kawasaki Chains and Transmission Parts
Solid roller-drive chains with heat treated, shot-peened components. Normal chains are made from Japanese steel, which makes them extremely tough and durable. The specifications that Kawasaki demands in all their transmission parts and components should be taken into consideration when purchasing a new motorcycle chain..
To determine the number of chain links required for your application you can count the rollers, the number of rollers equals the number of links. The other option is to count all the pins on one side of chain, you should have an equal number of pins to links as well. Lastly, you can determine the proper chain size by starting at hte master connecting link (one) and counting all side plates on one side of your chain. Take that number times two and that should come out to the number of required links. So if you have 24 outside plates, you need 48 chain links.
